Hours after Pink was rushed to the hospital following an on-stage accident in Nuremberg, Germany, that saw her slip from her harness and land on a metal barricade, Pink was already back on Twitter, assuring fans that she was alright and joking that she "made that barricade [her] bitch!"

And she wasn't the only one who turned to Twitter: Her friends and fans flooded the site as news of the accident broke, sending her well-wishes and hopes for a speedy recovery.

"Pink, feel better, you're more punk rock than all of us!" Katy Perry wrote.

"Pink, thank Jeebus you are alright!" Perez Hilton added after tweeting video of the accident that he deemed "so scary and shocking."

Her fans also sent their love en masse, writing messages like "You are unstoppable!," "Pink's rock hard abs vs. a steel barrier? Steel barrier 0, Pink 1 (million)" and "My prayers go out to you, get well soon gurl!"

Even her husband, Carey Hart, got in on the act, tweeting to her fans that "Pink is out of the hospital and all good. Just got the sh-- kicked out of her by the barrier," adding, in a message to KROQ radio personality Stryker, that Pink "better feel better soon, she has a show tomorrow! No, seriously, she is good. Just super banged-up. One tough girl."

And eventually, Pink herself returned to Twitter, first to tell fans that she would be taking the stage on Friday night in Salem, Germany, "even if I have to crawl," and then sending a message to all her well-wishers.

"A HUMONGOUS thank you to everyone who sent their love and concern," she wrote, adding that "Nikki [one of her dancers also injured in the accident] is also doing fine. I will buy her an ice cream later."

Leave your get-well wishes for Pink in the comments below!

Green Day fans and theater geeks flood Central Park for musical tribute.

NEW YORK — If someone came up to you and called you an American idiot, you wouldn't react too kindly. But for the people in the audience for Friday's "Good Morning America" Summer Concert, the insult became a chant of praise for the cast of Green Day's Broadway musical. Families and punk rockers alike had gathered in Central Park, holding up signs and wearing T-shirts for "American Idiot" and the band behind the Tony-winning show.

The cast opened with the chorus of "American Idiot," accompanied by a mixture of choreographed movement and punkish freestyle head-banging, getting the audience excited. They ended with the salute to punk rock, their fists held in the air as the audience screamed.

The audience waited patiently as host Robin Roberts talked about the cast and show, but some of the actors passed the time by doing flips. Finally, lead actor John Gallagher Jr. stepped onto the stage with a guitar, singing the beginning verse of "Boulevard of Broken Dreams," accompanied by violins, and eventually the rest of the cast. Then they transitioned to the faster-paced "Holiday." There were a few wobbly standouts as each actor sang a line, but the rest of the cast and the audience helped out with the mighty "Amen!" the song asks for. They also shouted "Hey!" the way Billie Joe Armstrong does at Green Day shows.

After a break, and more praise from George Stephanopoulis, star Rebecca Jones sang "Letterbomb" (with some swear words taken out) while the other female castmembers danced. After Jones called out, "Wake up, America!" the guys arrived onstage and sang the opening verse of "American Idiot." And though this was the second time this song was played (with the same choreography), the audience didn't seem to mind.

Guitars in hand, the cast ended their set with "Good Riddance (Time of Your Life)," the song that has ended many a Green Day show.

"It was awesome! They really captured the spirit of Green Day," one fan said after the show. "We saw the actual Broadway show on Wednesday, and even though [this] was shorter, it was just as good!"

What has been your favorite morning talk-show concert this summer? Talk about it in the comments.

Lil Wayne Owes $1.1 Million In Unpaid Taxes

We've already found out that Lil Wayne plans to drop an EP before he's released from prison in November, and his Young Money cohorts have said their capo is eager to get right to work the day he's out.

But before he takes care of any of that, he may have to settle some business with the state of Florida. According to The Detroit News, Florida court records indicate that the Internal Revenue Service filed a $1.13 million tax lien against the rapper last month in Dade County Circuit Court.

Apparently, he owes income taxes from 2004, 2005 and 2007, and the lien lists the address of Weezy's One Family Foundation on the document. The 2004 line shows an unpaid balance of $176,561, as well as $97,686 for 2005 and $864,511 for 2007 for the organization.

This is the second time Wayne has had a tax lien filed against him, following one in 2008 when he paid off a tax debt of $977,840.

A spokesperson for Wayne could not be reached for comment at press time.

The good news out of Wayne's camp is the EP, which manager Cortez Bryant recently spoke about.

"I'm putting out a [Wayne EP] called I'm Not a Human Being, and I'll probably drop it on his birthday, September 27," Bryant told Vibe.com. Bryant said the EP won't have the fanfare of a high-profile major-label release and revealed that he's opting instead for a more low-key way to get the music to the masses. "We're not about to roll out no three-month setup. I'm not even putting it out in stores. We just gonna put it out virally and maybe package it up for Christmas. Give 'em a hard copy later for fan appreciation," Bryant said of the release, which is billed as a prelude to Tha Carter IV.

Wayne is approximately halfway through his yearlong sentence and may be released early on good behavior. While the Human Being EP might satisfy fans until the star is back on the scene, Weezy protégé Nicki Minaj — who has kept in touch with Wayne throughout his sentence — said he's probably going to head back into the game with an arsenal of new material.

"I know when he comes out, it's gonna be a problem, 'cause he's one of those people that needs to get out his thoughts," Minaj told MTV News. "So I would imagine he would probably be in the studio for 60 days straight. He'll probably do three albums the day he comes home."

Are you looking forward to new Wayne music when he's released? Let us know in the comments!

M.I.A.'s Hard L.A. Ticket Sales 'Not What We Expected,' Promoter Says

'We put both events together to make one large event,' Gary Richards tells MTV News of joining forces for Hard Summer.
By James Montgomery

Earlier this week, when the M.I.A.-headlined Hard L.A. concert was abruptly canceled, promoters originally cited "increased security costs," then added that those costs had nothing to do with the death of a 15-year-old girl at a Los Angeles rave a few weeks earlier. Late Thursday, we learned that it was a combination of those extra costs and sluggish ticket sales that ultimately led to the concert's demise — or, more specifically, its grouping with another Hard event.

"We needed to double up on police and fire resources, driving the cost of the show higher," Gary Richards, Hard L.A.'s promoter, wrote in a statement to MTV News. "Sales were not what we expected, so we put both events together to make one large event on August 7th [called] Hard Summer."

Richards added that he's since added Flying Lotus, Switch, Theophilus London and the Gaslamp Killer to the August 7 bill and that the slow ticket sales for Hard L.A. appeared to be an anomaly, as a Hard Events-promoted concert scheduled for Saturday at the El Ray Theater — featuring Die Antwoord, Borgore and Destructo — "is sold out."

He also said that Hard plans to bring most of the artists originally slated for Hard L.A. (M.I.A., Sleigh Bells and Rye Rye) back to Los Angeles for another show this fall.

Last week, the Los Angeles Times' Pop & Hiss blog reported that ticket sales for Hard L.A. were "slow." The concert was scheduled to take place in the 36-acre Los Angeles State Park, which could hold some 25,000 people. When asked by the Times about the slower-than-expected ticket sales, Richards originally replied, "I'd rather not comment on that."

In his statement to MTV News, Richards did not address the date of Hard NYC, which is scheduled for July 24 on New York's Governors Island. In a follow-up e-mail, a publicist for the concert said Hard NYC is going ahead as planned.

A spokesperson for M.I.A.'s label, Interscope Records, did not respond to MTV News' request for comment on the matter.

Ciara Relives Her Cheerleading-Captain Days On 'When I Was 17'

As we've seen from several episodes of "When I Was 17," some of the biggest stars spent their high school years as awkward social misfits. Not Ciara, though. The "Ride" singer reveals on the latest episode of the series, airing Saturday at 11 a.m., that she was far from a geeky wallflower. The singer known for bringing the heat with her skillful dance moves brought the same undeniable spirit to her high school's cheerleading squad.

"I loved cheerleading — dancing, the game, the excitement, the energy — just everything was fun about it to me," Ciara enthuses.

The ATL princess' powerhouse energy and limber footwork are apparently assets she's been honing for years. But Ciara wasn't just a cheerleader: She was apparently so good at the whole pom-pom waving, high-kicking, cheer-hollering thing that she ended up running the team.

"I was really excited when I was elected captain my senior year," Cici said, giddily reliving the memory. "It was big, like, 'OK, we in the house right now.' "

Although Ciara was at the top of the cheerleading game, she had big dreams and left the sidelines of her high school matches for the nonstop action of superstardom.

"Unfortunately, I couldn't be as involved as I wanted to be because it was a year when my music started to become even more important to me," the star revealed.

She may have given up her pom-poms, but focusing on her music obviously paid off.

"When I Was 17" — this week featuring Ciara, CC Sabathia and Debi Nova — airs Saturday at 11 a.m. on MTV.

Lindsay Lohan Will Do Jail Time, New Lawyer Insists

'Ms. Lohan is suffering from a disease that I am all too familiar with,' says Robert Shapiro, whose son died of a drug overdose.

Earlier this week, TMZ reported that Lindsay Lohan's new attorney, Robert Shapiro, didn't have plans to appeal Lohan's 90-day jail sentence but instead would try to convince Judge Marsha Revel to put Lindsay in a rehab facility and either eliminate or minimize jail time. At the time, the site reported that Shapiro wanted to have Lohan placed in a live-in rehab facility with which he is said to be involved.

That appears to have changed.

"I have agreed to represent Ms. Lohan on the condition that she complies with all the terms of her probation, including a requirement of jail time that was imposed by Judge Marsha Revel," Shapiro told TMZ. "Ms. Lohan is suffering from a disease that I am all too familiar with."

The lawyer, who represented O.J. Simpson in his 1994 murder trial, was talking about his son Brent, who died of an MDMA drug overdose in 2005.

Lohan's original lawyer, Shawn Chapman Holley, resigned shortly after the actress was sentenced.

Onetime Lohan attorney candidate Stuart V. Goldberg said the actress didn't understand what she was up against.

"My impression of Lindsay is that she's a fragile lost child — a sleeping beauty with her head in the sand," Goldberg said in an interview with People magazine this week. "I found her not fully forewarned of the consequence of her actions. I'm concerned that she's not disciplined or tethered enough to the reality of adult consequences. ... She doesn't seem to have the awareness of what's going to befall her."

Lohan must surrender herself Tuesday to begin serving 90 days in jail, followed by a 90-day inpatient drug rehabilitation program.

Vado's Cam'ron Co-Sign Turns Into 'Hottest Breakthrough MCs Of 2010' Bid

Fans decide our 'Hottest Breakthrough MC of 2010' — vote now! The winner will be revealed on July 25.

"Hottest Breakthrough MCs of 2010" Candidate: Vado

This summer is a lot different than the last for Harlem's Vado. During a Mixtape Daily shoot, our cameras caught up with him as he filmed a viral video for his Boss of All Bosses mixtape with mentor Cam'ron and DJ Drama. You had to walk several floors to the rooftop, where Killa and a circle of a few dozen of their friends were waiting. It was scorching hot and bottles of liquor and water were in heavy rotation.

Last week, though, Vado was still surrounded by bottles and a lot of his guys were there, but there were more chicks and, lo and behold, air conditioning. The caliber of production was on a much larger scale. Cam and Vado were filming the clip for their first single, "Speakin' Tongues," which is the lead cut from their group album, Gunz N' Butta (due August 31).

"It was a good look, because that was my first official video, and it was with the big homie Cam," Vado said.

"I don't know what nobody thought," Cam laughed last month in Atlanta when asked about the song. "It's me. This is what I do for a living. But shout to Vado. It's his record. He got the beat and all that. I was like, 'Nah, we gotta put that out immediately.' "

"The song is about partying, living the Harlem life. Ballin'. You already know," Vado added.

Vado's name being mentioned with the "Hottest Breakthrough" candidates comes off the strength of his MCing, as it should. Put aside all the extras — backstory, swagger, affiliations — the guy can rap. He has lyrics but gets his point across every time with gallons of energy.

And with the Killa Cam co-sign to add to his talent, Vado has become one of the top-tier blue-chippers.

Vado, who's been rapping for the past decade, finally got his shine when Cam — who's from the same neighborhood — introduced him on the mixtape circuit last year through tapes as a member of his new crew the U.N. The duo have kept their buzz bubbling with their Boss of All Bosses mixtapes.

Cam is taking his time before fully unleashing his protégé. Gunz N' Butta is the setup to Vado's solo album, Slime Flu, due before 2010 is done.

Vado and 19 other up-and-coming MCs are in the running to become MTV News' "Hottest Breakthrough MCs of 2010" — and the winner will be decided by you!

Cast your vote for the "Hottest Breakthrough MC of 2010" right here. The top five will be revealed beginning on July 19, and the winner will be announced on the "Sucker Free Summit" July 25.

Drake Says 'Fancy' Video Sets Out To 'Make Women Feel Special'

Hip-hop heartthrob Drake is keeping it all about the ladies in the video for his Swizz Beatz-produced single "Fancy." The Young Money MC enlisted Swizzy and T.I. for the Thank Me Later joint's clip, but even with all that hip-hop testosterone on set, Drizzy insisted that his latest clip is for his female fans.

"It's just made to make women feel special," Drizzy told MTV News on the set of the video. "It's a great performance video." Drake teamed up with director Anthony Mandler, whom Drizzy dubs a "phenomenal cat" and who has, so far, helmed all the clips for Thank Me Later.

Mandler, Tip and Swizz all put in work on the "Fancy" video, but Drizzy was also geeked out about an artist who was grinding behind the scenes. Drake entrusted the clip's footwork to renowned choreographer Fatima Robinson and gushed that working with the dance diva was "an honor in itself."

With a rap king and a game-changing producer stuntin' in the video and a visual master and dance legend making magic behind the lens, "Fancy" is stacked with stars and packed with top-shelf talent. Star power aside, Drizzy chalked up the appeal of the upcoming video to a few simple things.

"A lot of nice shoes, a lot of nice faces," Drake smiled. "A lot of fun."

Drake might be gearing up to unleash "Fancy" as a single, but the joint almost didn't make his album. It was originally slated to land on projects by both Mary J. Blige and Swizzy before the Toronto rapper lobbied for the track.

"He was like, 'That's the record I need,' " Swizz told MTV News about Drake's reaction when he first heard "Fancy." Swizzy initially offered to re-create the vibe of the song on another joint: "I said, 'OK, I'll make you that.' " Apparently, Drizzy wasn't having it and insisted on the actual "Fancy" song, not a replacement. "No. That's the record I need," Drake said.

"I'm a producer first," Swizz said. "So he can have the record. I'm still on it, it's still love."

What are you looking forward to seeing in Drake's "Fancy" video? Sound off in the comments below!

A tumble onstage didn't slow down Pink one bit. The 30-year-old singer took to Twitter (naturally) after a performance on Friday (July 16) in Germany to announce all was well and she was back to performing.

On Thursday, the singer suffered a mild scare when she was rushed to the hospital after falling from a harness meant to hold her suspended above stage at a concert in Nuremberg, Germany. According to GossipCop.com, the acrobatics enthusiast fell from the harness directly onto a steel barricade; the show ended immediately.

She sent out a tweet Friday saying, "Well, we did it!!! always get right back on the horse that bucked you. thank u gorgeous people of Salem, Germany!!! totally worth it!"

Pink had also tweeted her fans while riding in the ambulance on the way to the hospital Thursday, writing "to all my nurnberg fans...I am embarrassed and very sorry. I'm in ambulance now but I will b fine."

She later hit Twitter again to explain the fall, tweeting: "[I] didn't get clipped in2 harness correctly, drug me off stage, fell in2 barricade." The "So What" singer kept fans updated throughout her hospital visit. "Nothings broken," she reported at one point. "No fluid in the lungs, just seriously sore. I made that barricade my b*tch!!!" Thanx nurnberg :("

Pink, in the midst of her Funhouse Summer Carnival Tour, is scheduled to continue through Eastern Europe, making stops in Germany, Russia, the Czech Republic, Finland, Sweden, Denmark and Norway.

Are you surprised Pink went back onstage a day after her fall? Or is it exactly what you expect from the star? Tell us in the comments!

There's a new Bond girl on the block.

British singer Joss Stone is the newest Bond girl but don't look for the 23-year-old to heat up the silver screen. Instead, she'll put her smoky pipes to use voicing a character in the upcoming video game "James Bond 007: Blood Stone," from Activision.

A Stone likeness will appear in the game (for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC), and she'll be right there alongside Bond himself, actor Daniel Craig, and Judi Dench (as M), both of whom are reprising their film roles in the game. The singer will also record an original song that she wrote with Dave Stewart of the Eurythmics titled "I'll Take It All."

While performing for the gaming world might be novel for Stone, the English soul singer has lent her vocals to several big-screen soundtracks, including songs for 2005's "Fantastic Four" and 2008's "Sex and the City: The Movie," on which she sang "How Can You Mend a Broken Heart" with Al Green. Stone has also previously flexed some acting muscle, making her film debut in 2006 in the fantasy adventure film "Eragon," as the witch Angela.

No word yet on whether the video game will help to push the next James Bond film. Earlier this month, production on the movie was halted indefinitely. With Sam Mendes set to direct, production company EON announced in a press release that the project was on hold and wouldn't make a 2010 release date.

What do you think of Joss appearing in a video game? Tell us in the comments!
